This last photo was the cherry on top. My absolute favorite from this session. Smoke bombs are always very tricky to use, and it turned out great for a first try take. Location is everything when using smoke bombs.
This was my first shoot with Laura earlier in the summer. We had a few ideas that were immediately revolved around this gown, and how innocent white can be. I wanted to touch base on how letting go of something can be just as innocent and revitalizing, but necessary. If a plan doesn't work out, start new.
It took a little convincing to get Laura in the water because it was freezing, but it sure did pay off. A lot of people connect with the religious act of communion, but I wanted to portray a communion of new beginnings. A refresh in your browser if you will. Portraying these three photos together show a lot of process.
